TERMS

Stela service terms

Effective September 9, 2026

These terms govern Stela project closeout record preparation. By submitting a project, you agree to these terms.

What Stela provides

Stela organizes submitted project information and evidence into downloadable project closeout records. A typical completed job produces two PDF deliverables: a contractor-branded Client Closeout Record for customer handoff and a Detailed Contractor Copy containing the deeper evidence trail, source references, documentation notes and record details.

What a Stela Record means

A Stela Record is a structured record of information and evidence submitted for a project. Labels such as Evidence Present, Limited Evidence and Not Submitted describe the documentation contained in the record. They are not certifications of workmanship, code compliance, engineering performance, insurance eligibility or other third-party determinations.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate project information and for having the authority to submit the property information, photographs, documents and shared-folder access you provide to Stela. Do not submit material you are not authorized to share.

Permission to process submitted materials

You retain ownership of materials you submit. You grant Stela permission to access, temporarily copy, organize, format and otherwise process those materials as reasonably necessary to prepare and deliver the requested PDF records and provide related support.

V1 file-based delivery

Stela V1 does not provide a public hosted property-record database or customer portal. The contractor remains responsible for retaining the original project files and delivered Stela PDFs. Shared-folder access may be revoked by the submitter after delivery.

Third-party decisions

Property owners, insurers, inspectors, regulators, code officials and other third parties decide what documentation they accept and what conclusions they draw from it. Stela does not guarantee that a third party will accept a record or grant any particular regulatory, insurance, financial or legal outcome.

Pricing

The first qualifying Stela Record is offered free during launch. Additional records are $149 each unless a different price or volume arrangement is agreed before work begins.

Turnaround

Stela aims to return most complete records within two business days. Larger projects, incomplete submissions or projects requiring significant follow-up may take longer; where practical, Stela will communicate material delays or additional information needs to the submitting customer.

Service changes and availability

Stela may revise the service, workflow, record format or availability as the product develops. If a material change affects a project already in progress, we will use reasonable efforts to communicate it to the submitting customer.

No professional inspection or advisory service

Unless separately agreed in writing, Stela does not provide engineering, legal, insurance, building-inspection or code-compliance services. You should use appropriately qualified professionals for those determinations.
